Taa-Daa: Our Newly Painted Living Room

We still have some of the same furniture but we hope to remedy that in the near future with a new couch and chair. Hopefully we can find the kind of modern chair and sofa that we want to help round out the contemporary look we are going for here (I so should be on HGTV). There are some pieces here making their debut. Look carefully and you will notice the addition of our new coffee table and our black table/cabinet that we refinished and repainted.
We have more in store for this room and we will continue to post pictures of it to show all of you, our friends, the progress we are making.

Those pics make the room look like a “fun house” like at the fair or something. I promise it’s alot more muted in person. The couch clashes hideously, but what can you do. Do any of you have $1000 I can borrow???

I like it. The color scheme is very close to one I’ve been playing around with on my website.
Instead of a $1,000 couch, I recommend getting about a dozen bean bag chairs. They scream elegance and sophistication.
